Media & Communications Officer

NCSL, the largest Savings and Loan Society in PNG with over 147,000 members, is currently undergoing an exciting transformative journey to further enhance its service to members and to be ready for the future.
We are committed to provide our members who are NCSL’s shareholders, service excellence by offering easily accessible financial products based on their needs through different channels like our 20 branches nationwide, internet and mobile banking. To strengthen our Marketing Team and be part of this transformative journey, we are inviting applicants for the following position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain relations and communications with mainstream media to leverage and maximise brand exposure,
  • Monitor and produce news and information for internal and external dissemination in line with the marketing strategy,
  • Drive marketing initiatives aimed at promoting the NCSL’s brand to financially empower existing members and potential clients,
  • Maintain and attract more members by providing high client service standards and upholding the image of NCSL as a good corporate citizen,
  • Promote and encourage use of digital services through mainstream and social media contents to employers and members aimed at enhancing user experience,
  • Analyze and initiate potential partner relationships for promotional programs as part of the customer value proposition offering,
  • Coordinate fortnightly and monthly newsletter and reporting whilst maintaining a good working relationship with the media,
Essential Qualifications, Technical Skills & Experience
  • Proven exposure in coordinating media and communication activities to deliver on expected targets to support overall marketing strategy,
  • Demonstrated exposure in press or electronic newsroom experience,
  • Possess more than three (3) years of proven exposure in a similar work setting and evidence of results on delivery,
  • Degree Qualification in Journalism, Public Relations or related field,
  • Strong customer experience and ability to interact and cooperate with all staff and maintain professionalism that meets company core values.
