NCSL, the largest Savings and Loan Society in PNG with over 170,000 members, is currently undergoing an exciting transformative journey to further enhance the service to members and to be ready for the future.

We are currently seeking a Debt Collection Officer based at our Head Office and reporting to the Manager Debt Collection.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor past due loans are kept at an absolute minimum at agreed threshold at any one time,
• Proactively identify appropriate collection action on default loan accounts and take appropriate action for timely collection of monies owed,
• Maintain constant dialogue with members and member’s payroll including internal teams on timely loan remittances,
• Liaise with members and external parties to reach amicable loan repayment arrangements,
• Undertake timely collection action (notices, or otherwise) as required,
• Keep past due loans an absolute minimum and within approved budget levels.

 

Job Requirements

Essential Qualifications, Technical Skills & Experience:

• Diploma Qualification in Business Management, Banking & Finance or related field,
• Possess more than 3 years of exposure in debt collections within a similar industry,
• Strong analytical skills and accurate business judgement,
• Strong customer experience and ability to interact and cooperate with all staff and maintain professionalism that meets company core values.
