Relationship Officer, Lae

NCSL, the largest Savings and Loan Society in PNG with over 160,000 members, is currently undergoing an exciting transformative journey to further enhance its service to members and to be ready for the future.

We are currently seeking a Relationship Officer based at our Lae Branch and reporting to the Area Manager Momase Region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a strong and positive relationship with employers and be the liaison between the employers and NCSL,
  • Ensures there is employer and employee engagement on a regular basis, through visitations, product presentations and awareness,
  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with the payroll officers, HR staff and Finance teams,
  • Attending corporate events with a view to source new businesses and acquire sales opportunities,
  • Identify and escalate priority issues and build a sustainable relationship by way of engaging customers in cross selling other NCSL`s products and service offerings.

Essential Qualifications, Technical Skills & Experience:

  • Diploma Qualification in Business Management, Marketing, or Customer Service,
  • Excellent working knowledge of Sales and Marketing,
  • Strong customer experience and ability to interact and cooperate with all staff and maintain professionalism that meets company core values,
  • Possess current driver’s license (class 3 or 6), and be able to navigate within the surrounds of Lae,
  • Proven exposure in providing first-class customer service in a timely manner in a similar work environment,
  • Organized, proactive, and results driven.

Branch Manager, Port Moresby Branches

We are currently seeking a Branch Manager based at our Boroko Branch and reporting to the Area Manager Southern Region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all branch operations in NCD, including loans, savings products, membership services, digital adoption and debt collection.
  • Drive sales growth and deliver superior customer service within set turnaround times.
  • Lead and develop branch staff, ensuring high performance and adherence to policies.
  • Implement marketing and business development initiatives to grow membership, digital adoptions and product uptake.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, key employers and business stakeholders.
  • Ensure full compliance with lending policies, AML/CTF regulations, and internal controls.
  • Prepare accurate and timely reports on branch performance and contribute to strategic planning.

Essential Qualifications, Technical Skills & Experience:

  • Proven exposure in a similar role and growing cliental base,
  • Possess more than five (5) years of proven exposure in a similar work setting and evidence of results on delivery,
  • Diploma Qualification in Accounting, Commerce, Business Management or related field,
  • Strong customer experience and ability to interact and cooperate with all staff and maintain professionalism that meets company core values,
  • Possess a valid Class three (3) or Class six (6) driver’s License.

    Proficient in Excel and risk modelling tools; knowledge of SQL, Python or SAS is a plus,
  • Analytical thinker with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills,
  • Ability to communicate insights clearly to stakeholders,
