The NCSL Board invites expressions of interest from young Papua New Guinean professionals to apply for its Trainee Directors Program. This program provides successful applicants the opportunity to experience boardroom dynamics, board protocols, good governance and in general understand the role of a Board Director.

Two Trainee Directors will be selected to serve a 2-year term. In addition to board meetings, each Trainee Director will serve on a board committee; Audit & Risk Committee; Innovation IT and Organisational Development Committee.

TRAINEE DIRECTORS PROGRAM

Eligability:
• Must be a contributing member of NCSL Savings and Loan.
• Must be endorsed by current employer to participate and attend all meetings
• Must be above 25 years old with strong commercial / professional experience
• Must demonstrate prior efforts to develop governance experience – serving or volunteering on boards for civil society, community, church, education, sporting groups, professional associations and groups, peak bodies, etc
• Able to pass a fit and proper test.
