Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea – In celebration of Papua New Guinea’s 50th Independence Anniversary, NCSL Savings & Loan Society has made a heartfelt donation to Friends of POM Gen, reaffirming its commitment to community care and social responsibility.
This milestone anniversary is not only a time to celebrate our nation’s progress, but also a moment to reflect on the values that unite us — compassion, resilience, and the spirit of giving back. NCSL’s donation is a tribute to the mothers and children who represent the heart and future of our nation. NCSL Savings & Loan General Manager Operations & ICT, Mr. Shane Kennedy said, “Mothers are the foundation of every family, and children are the promise of tomorrow. This donation aims to bring comfort and support to those receiving care at Port Moresby General Hospital, especially in the maternity and children’s wards.
The donation includes a range of essential items:
• Baby care products – wipes, diapers, infant formulas, powders, soap
• Hygiene items – sanitary pads, bath soap, toilet rolls
• Nutritional support – milk, Milo, juice boxes, variety of biscuits, noodles, cereal
• Comfort items – blankets and pillows
• Food staples – tinned food and other non-perishables
These items were carefully selected to meet the immediate needs of patients and families, offering both practical support and a message of care.
